Loch Gowan photos - 1955

The School adopted (or was adopted by?) RMS Loch Gowan, a merchant ship trading in the Pacifc region. The school visited the ship in November 1955, when it was in the Port of London(?). I wasn't on that visit, or part of the adoption scheme, so if anyone can add any more detail please let us know - RB

Tony Sansom's photos

At our 2015 reunion supper, Tony loaned me a some team photos from school days. Team sport wasn't really my scene, so if anyone can let me know details of where, when and who, I will try to weave it in.

GAYWORTHIAN TRAVELLERS

For several years in the 1950s, Cyril Smith - one of our maths teachers, organised group excursions to Switzerland for a week's holiday. They were organised jointly with Harrow County Grammar School for Boys. You may be interested to follow this link to the Old Gaytonians' web site.

Cyril produced a promotional pamphlet for some trips and a couple can be inspected here:

1956 / 1958

Cyril was a great rail enthusiast and in those days that was almost the only way to get there, hence the detailed timetables.
